Terminal Island Sailing. These terms apply to adult recreational sailing courses booked directly with the School.
Students must be 18 or older at enrollment and participation. The School may reasonably request proof of age. A separate, approved adult sailing waiver must be signed before any on-water participation.
Submitting a registration form or starting secure payment does not reserve a confirmed place. An enrollment is confirmed only after payment is successfully verified and the School records the paid enrollment. Prices and specific class information are those displayed at checkout. The School may correct obvious errors before accepting registration and will contact affected students as appropriate.
Students should verify their course dates, times, meeting location, prerequisites and equipment instructions. Courses may be rescheduled or modified when reasonably necessary for safety, weather, vessel availability, instructor availability, or operational requirements. The School will communicate material changes using the contact information provided.
The separate Cancellation & Refund Policy applies and is incorporated into these terms. Under the current published policy: full refund for cancellations 7 or more days before class; 50% refund from 48 hours up to 7 days before class; no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours before class or for no-shows. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability and approval. Classes cancelled because of unsafe weather will be rescheduled without additional charge. If the School cancels for other operational reasons, students may request a full refund or rescheduling without additional charge. Any nonwaivable statutory rights remain unaffected.
Follow instructor and skipper directions; wear required safety equipment; treat others respectfully; and do not participate while impaired. Students may be excluded from an activity if their conduct creates a safety hazard. Any refund eligibility following a safety-related removal is determined under the published Cancellation & Refund Policy and applicable law.
Instruction does not guarantee examination success or American Sailing certification. Applicable certifications depend on successfully demonstrating the required knowledge and practical skills. Any certification or retest fees not included in the quoted course price must be disclosed before charging.
Participation is subject to a separately signed adult sailing waiver and assumption-of-risk agreement. These website terms do not replace that waiver or purport to waive nonwaivable legal rights.
Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Students agree to receive transactional notices about their registration, payment, schedule changes, safety and course administration. Marketing communications, if any, must comply with applicable consent and opt-out rules.
